Porters Cottage Garden

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was neat & tidy and very clean. I particularly liked the signs on the kitchen draws & cupboards indicating the contents - very helpful! The location was great. Even being on the busy road there was very little noise at night. The host was spectacular! I can't wait to stay there again.

Positive: The backyard Negative: The shower / bath was hard to get into / out of.

Positive: Old charm with modern facilities Negative: Single beds not comfortable for adults.

Overall, I would not recommend you stay here. There are plenty lovely places in the area. Positive: The house was lovely. Negative: The fact that the day before they contacted me outside booking.com and asked for an extra $80 ($40 fee per dog) to be paid directly into their bank account even though I had already prepaid a $90 cleaning fee and their advertisement clearly stated "no further fees, your pet stays free". As they contacted me so close to check in day, I was concerned that we would be left without accommodation so felt that I had no choice but to pay the fee and am now in discussions with booking.com about the matter.
