A perfect haven in a great location Positive: Great location, comfortable and well appointed

Not what it looks like in the photos Positive: The house was a beautifully old build with a lot of character. Negative: The whole reason we booked this property was for a girls weekend with a spa. The spa wasn’t working and we were not informed. The back wire door was broken. Many light globes were not working. Electricity outlet in the bathroom was quite dodgy, you had to wriggle the hair dryer to make it work. Used underwear, tissues and rubbish were found behind a bedside table. Blinds wouldn’t work in the main bedroom. No dishwasher tablets even though we were told to put the dishwasher on, on departure. We were asked to inform the owners of our arrival and departure. We messaged a few messages regarding issues with the property and received no response. It was such a shame to see such a beautiful old house allowed to go to ruin and be so unkept.

Overall the property was spacious and centrally located, which is what we were hoping for. We were able to walk to Dean St for dinner and activities and it was easy to drive into the property. The hosts were easy to communicate with. Overall I would recommend this property. The one downside is the hot tub wasn’t working when we were there—one of the reasons we booked. We also found the shower set up a bit awkward and it would be hard for someone with mobility issues to use.

We were happy for the one night stay as we could have our dog with us . Positive: Was well presented inside . Negative: Backyard needed attention . The traffic noise early evening not good The shower in the bath was a little difficult getting inn and out as an older woman .
